Greater Than Expectations is currently seeking passionate, mission-aligned individuals to serve on our Board of Directors and Committees.
Greater Than Expectations Volunteers
This track is ideal for individuals who want to support the organization’s operations, outreach, and overall growth.

Help recruit, onboard, and communicate with volunteers while supporting scheduling and engagement efforts.

Assist with creating, editing, and distributing newsletters, social media content, and marketing materials to help amplify our mission.

Support administrative, event, and program needs based on current organizational priorities. Roles are aligned with opportunities outlined in our volunteer interest guide.

The Fundraising Chair leads the development and execution of the organization’s fundraising strategy. This role oversees fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, sponsorships, and special events to ensure sustainable financial support for the organization’s mission. The Chair collaborates closely with the board and staff to identify new funding opportunities and strengthen donor relationships.

The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This role includes monitoring budgets, financial reporting, and fiscal compliance, as well as presenting financial updates to the board. The Treasurer ensures proper financial controls are in place and supports transparent, responsible stewardship of organizational funds.

The Legal Advisor provides guidance on legal matters affecting the organization, including governance, compliance, contracts, and risk management. This role supports the board by offering legal insight to help ensure the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws and best practices, while protecting its mission and integrity.

Freshman Fresh Volunteers
This track is designed for volunteers who want to work directly with our Freshman Fresh program and its participants.
Program-specific opportunities include:
Supporting program sessions and activities
Assisting with workshops, mentoring, and events
Providing hands-on support aligned with the goals of the Freshman Fresh initiative
This track is ideal for those passionate about youth development, education, and direct community engagement.

Thank you for helping us welcome students into a new season of college, community, and confidence. Please review the details below and complete the required registration steps before Move-In Day.
Volunteer Checklist
Each volunteer needs to register individually. Food will be provided on Move-In Day, and all volunteers are asked to attend the virtual training.
Complete the Volunteer Sign-Up
Every volunteer should submit the sign-up form so we can plan assignments, supplies, and day-of support.
Attend Volunteer Training
Volunteer training will be held on July 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Please register in advance using the training link.
Check Your Confirmation Email
After registering for training, you will receive a confirmation email containing details about joining the meeting.
Serve on Move-In Day
Join us on August 3, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Food will be provided for volunteers.
