Our Dream
A Dream Rooted in Purpose
Many children dream about who they will become. For Dr. Crystal R. Ward, that dream began with a heart for fostering, adoption, and serving others.
As a child, she was moved by stories of adults reuniting with their biological families after being separated during childhood. Those powerful moments planted a seed that would later grow into her life’s purpose.
With more than 15 years in education, Dr. Ward has served young adults in Kansas City, Oakland, Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland, Atlanta, and now Dallas, where she works as a school administrator. Through her roles as an educator, she has built lasting relationships with scholars, supporting them through high school and beyond.
Her time in the classroom exposed her to the experiences of youth impacted by foster care and reminded her of the need for positive mentors, advocates, and support systems. That childhood dream, combined with a clear community need, became the foundation for something greater.
That vision became Greater Than Expectations.
